Edmonton, Alberta — September 30, 2020 — Cratex Industries Ltd., North America’s premier crating, packaging and exporting services company, has received a certificate of registration to ISO 9001:2015 for their Quality Management System. ISO Standards was developed by the International Organization for Standardization, the world’s largest developer of voluntary international standards. This registration, certified by SAI Global, a leading global registrar of ISO Management Systems, demonstrates Cratex’s commitment to quality, continual improvement and customer satisfaction.
“Cratex is committed to delivering the highest level of quality in all that we do,” said Jeff Loesch, Vice-President, Cratex Industries Ltd. “This ISO certification is a recognition of the training, systems, and processes we’ve established at the very beginning. Our culture of continual improvement means we will never stop searching for ways to improve our processes, enhance our offerings, and develop valuable new solutions for our customers.”
The intent of a Quality Management System that meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 is to ensure quality products and services that consistently meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the customer. Certification is achieved once all the requirements of the Standard have been verified during a stringent, independent audit conducted by an accredited ISO Registrar. These external audits are conducted annually to ensure the system is continually improving.
“In these unprecedented times, cost has affected every aspect of the supply chain,” said Loesch. “This is why damages are avoided at all costs. Cratex enables this by ensuring the integrity and safety of the shipment’s packaging and crating, wherever the destination. This certification recognizes what Cratex has been doing all along; providing our customers with the highest degree of quality service and reliability without compromise.”
“At Cratex, quality is something we live and breathe, and this ISO certification proves it,” said Dwayne Hihn, President, Cratex Industries Ltd. “This ISO achievement sets a very high bar for the industry, and I am proud to say that all of our employees at all of our locations contributed to the process. It tells our existing and future customers that Cratex has left no stone unturned in ensuring our internal systems are of the highest standard, and that we can provide a customer experience that is second to none.”
“Whether our customers ship a fragile dinosaur fossil, a massive train, or an entire airplane, it represents an important investment for them,” said Loesch. “We protect that investment with a high standard of care and expertise that sets us apart in the industry. Now, with this ISO certification, customers throughout North America and around the globe can feel even more confident that they have a reliable and capable service provider that is deeply committed to quality.”
